You are Invited
On behalf of the Board of Directors of the National Consortium for Building Healthy Academic Communities, I would like to invite you to attend the 2019 Summit, Building Cultures of Well-Being, hosted at The Ohio State University from April 29 to May 1, 2019.
With academic leaders, faculty, students and staff representing institutions from across the United States, we are looking to gather hundreds of experts and leaders to discuss, learn, and network regarding health and wellness in higher education. Participants are sure to include administrators, directors of health promotion and wellness, researchers, medical center personnel, human resource officers from academic institutions, and policymakers from professional organizations and academia.
Nationally known health and wellness experts will give innovative and timely presentations on the importance of creating the cultures of health in higher education. Speakers shall share their expertise with participants, while stressing the importance of building a national health movement. In addition to providing the latest evidence on best practices to support health and wellness in academic institutions, the summit seeks to enhance the wellness of attendees.
Activities planned throughout the summit included:
- Stadium Conditioning
- LaBlast Fitness Dance Session
- Adult Recess
- Campus Walking Tour
- Pop Up Park
- Coffee Cup Mandala Creativity Exercise
We hope to see you next spring at the 2019 Summit. Until then, we encourage you to become a volunteer, author an article in our journal, or share with other members what is going on at your institution through our e-bulletin and this website.
