Kat Marriott, PhD serves as the National Consortium for Building Healthy Academic Communities executive director, working alongside the board, volunteers and others to implement the mission of the organization.

Marriott has significant experience in higher education, and is passionate about public health, infectious diseases and vaccination efforts. She most recently came from The Ohio State University’s College of Public Health, where she was a program director of Public Health Preparedness for Infectious Diseases for many years. She earned her undergraduate degree from Ohio University and her PhD from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas.

Marriott began working with BHAC in July 2018, enthusiastically jumping into many of the ongoing and existing initiatives and activities. She invites you to read the 2017-18 NCBHAC Annual Report for an in-depth look at the organization.
