We are pleased to announce that The Ohio State University earned the Institution of Distinction in Health & Well-being for the BHAC Designation!

The Ohio State University has been actively creating a culture of wellness and help students, faculty and staff improve their health and well-being. The wellness program, under the Direction of Chief Wellness Officer Bernadette Melnyk, PhD, APRN-CNP, FAANP, FNAP, engages senior leadership, works with managers and supervisors and wellness champions across the organization, and partners with internal and external wellness experts to help implement programs, resources and policies to support those that live and work at the university.

"We are delighted to receive the level of distinction in the wellness designation from the National Consortium for BHAC for our comprehensive multi-component evidence-based strategy to build and sustain a robust wellness culture and improve population health and well-being outcomes. It is a testimony to our institution’s strong investment and support to create the healthiest university in the world." - Bern Melnyk

Efforts have been made to create a robust communication plan and track outcomes to enhance and improve the wellness program over time.

Congratulations Ohio State for your award-earning wellness efforts. If you are interested in speaking with Ohio State, please contact Megan Amaya.
